Heather is the president of Grote and Associates.  Grote and Associates is a governmental affairs consulting firm specializing in state government relations with legislative, executive and judicial officials, and grassroots issue advocacy. Additionally, the firm provides political and non-profit fundraising and Federal Elections Commission and Missouri Ethics Commission campaign finance compliance.

Heather currently serves on United Way Financial Review Committee and the Board of Directors of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce. She grew up in Oxford, Mississippi, and is a lifelong Ole Miss Rebels football fan. Heather moved to Missouri to attend the University of Missouri School of Journalism and graduated with a degree in Advertising and minors in Marketing and Political Science.
